Travel is Nearing

Its been a busy weekend trying to check and double check everything.  We have lists abound and are down to the final document copying and packing.  Bought some space bags this weekend, we'll see how those work.  Supposed to put the clothes in and roll them up and the air squeezes out! That will be nice to save as much room as we can.  Each person can only have one piece of luggage on flights in China so the quest for space is on. Other families tell us from their experience to take a few days worth of clothes and use the laundry services to save the space since we are there for so many days.  And that leads us to our itenerary!  We leave this Wednesday the 13th and arrive in Beijing at 4:30pm on the 14th.  Just a short flight from Columbus to Chicago and then straight from there to Beijing.  13 1/2 hour flight will be a tester!  And now we are set to fly home on the 31st.  We couldn't get the flight for the 30th so we have to stay an extra day.  We return from Hong Kong with a nonstop flight to Chicago and then to Columbus.  Getting in about 4:45pm on the 31st.  All flights are with United.  I just signed up for a pandaphone.  That is a cell phone we can rent for use in China and we will get it at our hotel and return it there too.   I'll put the number down here when I get it.    Just remember China is 12 hours ahead of Columbus so let us call you when we have the time.  Its also much cheaper for us to call you and you never know if we'll be sleeping or in a consulate or something important!  So back to work in the morning for a short week.  Never taken more than a week off at one time so three and half is going to be a completely new experience.

And by the way How Bout them Cowboys!  Moving on in the playoffs, the next game will be 1am in Beijing time, have to find quiet corner and an internet feed I guess!  And how about those Blue Jackets too, won 3 in a row.  Figures they start winning when we leave and don't get to see them!
