Family Day Arrived

Many people call this day Gotcha Day, for we finally got ya in our arms.  I always felt that sounded like stealing so we heard another Columbus family go with Family Day and we loved it! Just the way we will now love Laine Helen AnXin Doelling.  All 8 families gathered in front of the Happy New Yeat tree display in our hotel lobby, since Chinese New Year is Feb 14th, and took a pre-adoption photo.  Our guide here, Yisha, said that was a first!  That we were a very happy group to take pre-adoption photos!  So down the road we went to the Civil Affairs office.  We arrived about 10am here, 9pm back home.  Our girl was already there.  We walked in and in seconds Laine was in Christina's arms. She didn't even have time to take off her jacket or put down the notebook with some last minute questions we wanted to ask the caregiver.  4 of the kids were there waiting.  2 more arrived in about 30 minutes.  2 more are still on the way.  It is a very foggy and hazey day and a bridge was closed because of it blocking the route for the last group.  Laine just sat all bundled, I mean BUNDLED in clothes like pillows! She just watched as we took turns holding her and taking pictures and filling out the adoption papers. She smiled when she bounced, so that was the first key we noted.  She loves to bounce and go up in the air.  She only started to cry once when we tried to take her hat off.  That was the second key, let her just be!  So let me add some pics here and send it off.  I need to see if the last two from our group are here!
